Christmas cheer at FlairJet: Phenom 100 operator gets its UK AOC

Jet Aviation’s US charter operations certified as US Part 135 Air Carrier

Jet Aviation has announced that the company will operate its US charter division under its own US Part 135 Air Carrier certificate as Jet Aviation Flight Services, Inc., effective immediately. Jet Aviation Flight Services has been awarded a Platinum safety rating by Aviation Research Group (ARG/US) and has earned IS-BAO certification.

GAMA readies Sharjah operation for charter launch

UK business aviation services provider Gama Aviation is gearing up to launch charter services before the end of 2009 from its new facility in the Middle East if its aircraft operator's certificate is awarded as expected in the coming days.

Comlux Dissolves Partnership with Airbus

The Comlux Group, which became a 40-percent shareholder in the Airbus Corporate Jet Center (ACJC) in May last year, has withdrawn from the partnership by mutual agreement to focus on its new completion and maintenance facilities in Indianapolis. The center–formerly Indianapolis Jet Center–includes Comlux America, which focuses on Airbus VIP completions, and Comlux Aviation Services, which occupies itself with Bombardier completion work, maintenance and other services.

NetJets Cancels $2.6B in Hawker Beechcraft Orders

In a financial update released yesterday, Hawker Beechcraft revealed that fractional provider NetJets has cancelled orders for a “significant number” of aircraft from the Wichita-based manufacturer. The aircraft were previously scheduled to be delivered in 2011.

US$5.6 Billion Loss Expected In 2010

(Geneva) - The International Air Transport Association (IATA) revised its financial outlook for 2010 to an expected US$5.6 billion global net loss, larger than the previously forecast loss of US$3.8 billion. For 2009, IATA maintained its forecast of a US$11 billion net loss.

Ocean Sky maps European expansion strategy
