Castle & Cooke to set up FBO at Van Nuys

Castle & Cooke Aviation Services is becoming a full-service fixed-base operation at the Van Nuys Airport in suburban Los Angeles.
The company said Tuesday it has been given approval by the Los Angeles City Council and the Los Angeles World Airports Board of Airport Commissioners for a new master lease and its status as a full-service FBO was confirmed.

Swiss PrivateAviation to broaden fleet offering

Swiss PrivateAviation - Lufthansa German Airlines' dedicated business aviation division - is seeking to broaden its range of aircraft to accommodate growing demand for large cabin and long-range aircraft from its sister company Lufthansa Private Jet.

Cash-strapped JetBird puts staff on protective notice

Air taxi start-up Jetbird has put about 40 staff on protective notice as it battles to secure funding for the commercial launch of its low-cost, pan-European, no-frills operation.
The cash-strapped company, owned by Irish investment group Claret Capital and a number of private investors, has delayed service launch three times this year - April, June and September - blaming delays to Embraer's Phenom 100 certification and delivery schedule for the setback.

Ocean Sky Aviation has appointed Steve Grimes as its new CEO. Grimes was formerly CEO of the UK-based group’s Ocean Sky Jet Centre FBO business, but will now run its main aircraft management and charter activities as well.
