Ambeo poised for commercial launch of Mustang

UK air taxi start-up Ambeo has received its aircraft operator's certificate from the UK Civil Aviation Authority and is set to begin commercial operations with its Cessna Citation Mustang before the end of January.

Al Jaber bolsters VVIP fleet

Middle Eastern charter start-up Al Jaber Aviation took delivery in December of its first Airbus A318 Elite and Embraer Lineage 1000 VIP-configured airliners.
The 19-seat Elite will be completed by Lufthansa Technik at its Tulsa, Oklahoma facility in preparation for service entry in the middle of the year when Al Jaber Aviation will become the first Middle East company to offer Airbus aircraft for VVIP charter.

Embraer delivers first Phenom 300 executive jet

Embraer has begun delivering its recently certified Phenom 300 executive jet, just one year after the first Phenom 100 customers received their aircraft. The first Phenom 300 was delivered at the Company’s headquarters, on December 29, 2009, to Executive Flight Services, a wholly owned aircraft management subsidiary of Executive AirShare, which received the aircraft on behalf of an undisclosed customer.

USA issues new security directives for inbound flights

The US Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has mandated new security measures covering inbound flights to the USA effective 4 January.
Those measures are the latest response to a foiled attempt on 25 December by a Nigerian national to use explosives to destroy an Airbus A330 operated by Delta Air Lines.
