HondaJet engine passes interim certification hurdles

GE reports that its GE Honda HF120 turbofan engine has "flown" as high as 46,000ft (14,000m) in the company's altitude test facility in Evendale, Ohio. Technicians successfully completed windmill and starter-assisted air-starts of the first test version of the 2,050lb-thrust (9.1kN) turbofan, which will power the HondaJet and the Spectrum Freedom. Servisair secures multi-year contract to provide ground-handling to Ryanair

Servisair has confirmed that it has secured a multi-year contract to provide ground-handling services to Ryanair at 12 locations across the UK, effective 1st January 2010. The deal covers the provision of full passenger and ramp handling for 26 based aircraft across 6 locations at Birmingham, Bournemouth, Bristol, Edinburgh, East Midlands and Liverpool. Second G650 Flies for the Second Time

Gulfstream Aerospace Corp has announced that a second ultra-large-cabin, ultra-long-range Gulfstream G650 has completed its first flight. The second test article — known as T2 — took off from Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport at 12:50 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 25, with senior experimental test pilots Gary Freeman and Scott Buethe in the cockpit.
