Midwest Executive Aviation Limited, the FBO provider at Newquay Cornwall Airport has recently opened their new FBO facility at the airport. The new facility will significantly enhance the private aviation handling facilities at the airport by taking the new facility into the airports controlled zone, with direct apron access from the FBO to the airfield. The new facilities location is also in close proximity of the main terminal and restricted zone enabling quick and efficient security screening when required.
The airport is close to completing its first year as a civilian airport following the transfer of operational responsibility and ownership of the airport to Cornwall Council and its airport operating Company, Cornwall Airport Limited.
The successful transition from military to civilian use has created additional capacity on the airfield to specifically develop the business and general aviation markets
The new facility offers crew and passenger lounge area, crew rest facilities, wireless broadband, crew flight planning desk and unlimited complimentary parking adjacent to the FBO building. The new facility and improved operation has already attracted many new visitors to the airport and a significant increase in UK and overseas military flights.
