BAHRAIN AIR SHOW: Comlux move boosts Bahrain

In a boost for Bahrain's efforts to rival Abu Dhabi and Dubai as a business aviation hub for the Middle East, the biggest Airbus corporate jet operator, Comlux, is to set up a business in the kingdom in partnership with MAZ Aviation of Saudi Arabia.

Comlux Dissolves Partnership with Airbus

The Comlux Group, which became a 40-percent shareholder in the Airbus Corporate Jet Center (ACJC) in May last year, has withdrawn from the partnership by mutual agreement to focus on its new completion and maintenance facilities in Indianapolis. The center–formerly Indianapolis Jet Center–includes Comlux America, which focuses on Airbus VIP completions, and Comlux Aviation Services, which occupies itself with Bombardier completion work, maintenance and other services.

ACJ MAKES a Perfect 10 for Comlux

Aircraft management and charter firm Comlux yesterday placed an order for its tenth Airbus executive jet, making it the largest single operator of the aircraft manufacturer’s bizliners. The $75 million deal signed here at the Dubai show brings Comlux’s total order for ACJs to three, in addition to previous orders for four A318 Elites, two A320 Prestiges and one A330-200 Prestige–a cumulative order value that exceeds $800 million, Airbus said.
